Il s’agit d’un des sites les plus renseignés et par ailleurs fort critique sur la politique de l’éducation en Italie et un des rares sites italiens de l’éducation réservant une attention régulière à ce qui se passe en dehors de l’Italie dans le domaine de l’enseignement.

California Dropout Research Project

The California Dropout Research Project (CDRP) was established in December 2006 to synthesize existing research and undertake new research to inform policymakers, educators and the general public about the nature of the dropout crisis in California and help the state develop a meaningful policy agenda to address the problem.

To accomplish this mission, the project has engaged in three major activities :

 RESEARCH : The project has commissioned a series of research studies and created statistical briefs on four facets of the problem : (a) the nature of problem ; (2) the economic and social costs of dropouts for individuals and the state ; (3) the short-term and long-term causes of dropping out ; and (4) possible solutions.

 POLICY : The project has developed a policy agenda by establishing a Policy Committee composed of policymakers, educators, scholars, and a community activist and issuing a Policy Report with recommendations for schools, districts, and the state.

 DISSEMINATION : The project has developed a dissemination strategy for distributing the project findings to a wide audience by (a) creating Policy Briefs to conveyed the results of the research studies in a short, easy-to-understand format ; (a) mailing printed copies of all Policy and Statistical Briefs to every superintendent and state legislator as well as to key stakeholders ; (c) developing a website to provide access to all CDRP publications ; (d) working with the media to publicize the project’s findings.

Consortium on Chicago School Research

The Consortium on Chicago School Research at the University of Chicago was founded in 1990, two years after the passage of the Chicago School Reform Act that decentralized governance of the city’s public schools. Since then, CCSR has distinguished itself as a unique organization, conducting research of high technical quality that is accessible to practitioners and policy makers and that is used broadly by the school reform community.

Most importantly, CCSR is viewed as making important contributions to school reform, both through the findings and implications of specific research studies and more broadly by improving the capacity of the district to use data, build effective strategies, and evaluate progress. In this report, we argue that CCSR’s focus on building capacity for school reform both sets CCSR’s role apart from traditional approaches researchers have used to influence policy and practice and also represents a new model for conducting policy-relevant research.

Ce site a pour objectif premier de faciliter l’accès aux écrits et conférences de Piaget.

La Fondation Jean Piaget a été créée en 1976 par Jean Piaget pour favoriser l’essor des recherches en psychologie et en épistémologie. Elle a, à cet effet, soutenu pendant plusieurs années un certain nombre d’activités scientifiques (bourses de la Fondation Archives Jean Piaget, travaux avancés de recherche, organisation de colloques, etc.), ainsi que la publication des dernières recherches dirigées ou initiées par Piaget au Centre International d’épistémologie génétique.

Online learning at the K-12 level has grown so much in recent years that the main issue in most states is no longer whether or not online learning is occurring, but rather how it is being implemented. Most states (45 as of September 2009) have significant supplemental online learning programs, or significant full-time programs, or both. Of the states that do not have either of these options, several have begun planning for online learning development. In addition to the spread of online learning programs to most states across the country, the majority of existing online programs show considerable growth in the number of students they are serving. Keeping Pace has several goals. First, it strives to add to the body of knowledge about online education policy and make recommendations for advances. Second, it is a reference source of current information about programs, policies and trends for policymakers and practitioners across the country.In a field that is growing and changing as rapidly as online education, timeliness of information is imperative.

Kingsbury Center at NWEA

The Kingsbury Center is part of the not-for-profit Northwest Evaluation Association. The Center’s mission is to advance the knowledge and practice of education through the use of student assessment data. Northwest Evaluation Association provides assessment services to more than 3000 school systems across the United States. The primary resource of the Center is NWEA’s Growth Research Database (GRD), which houses demographic information and highly reliable, longitudinal student achievement information for approximately 10% of the United States student population. The GRD is the single largest known repository of student achievement data in the United States.

The Center conducts research that supports the mission and supports researchers by providing access to datasets extracted from the GRD and other sources, performing research studies in collaboration with external organizations, and offering consultation service.

The Kingsbury Center is named for G. Gage Kingsbury, who has been the Director of Research at NWEA since 1998. Since developing his first computerized adaptive test in 1976, he has designed and developed over 25 adaptive tests, and developed procedures for adaptive testing that are currently in use in many operational, large scale adaptive tests.

PACE

Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE) is an independent, non-partisan research center based at the University of California – Berkeley, the University of Southern California, and Stanford University. PACE seeks to define and sustain a long-term strategy for comprehensive policy reform and continuous improvement in performance at all levels of California’s education system, from early childhood to post-secondary education and training. PACE bridges the gap between research and policy, working with scholars from California’s leading universities and with state and local policymakers to increase the impact of academic research on educational policy in California.

Pratham

Pratham is the largest non governmental organization working to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India. Pratham was established in 1994 to provide education to the children in the slums of Mumbai city. Since then, the organization has grown both in scope and geographical coverage.

The New Teacher Project (TNTP) is a national non-profit organization that partners with educational entities to increase the number of outstanding individuals who become public school teachers and create environments for all educators that maximize their impact on student achievement.
